Well, we finished up the last round of chemo today. Dr Owen is pleased at how well Blakey has been tolerating the chemo and has us scheduled for treatment at Sloan Kettering Memorial in NYC on March 8th. The big concern with Blakey right now is his weight. He is at a point where he should be going through a growth spurt but his weight really isn't reflecting that. It's been very hard to get him to eat and he has lost interest in most food. The nutritionist says that it's more important for him to get calories right now, rather than to really care too much about what it is he is eating. The only things he seems interested in are spaghettios and pudding. He will also tolerate some Pediasure.
We got discharged this morning and the weather was beautiful so these are some pics of Blakey playing in the front yard.

Also, I would like to add... Blakey took many steps on his own tonight! He just needs a little pushing! He has not walked much since before the surgery but hopefully he will start walking more and more now! Before the surgery, he took a few steps here and there. But tonight he didn't take a few steps each time- he took many! Like, 6 or 8 at the least... at times he was walking across whole rooms! Very good... I will work on getting some pics or maybe a video of him and his new moves!
